Winslow's Championship battle still alive!!
James scored a very health 30 points at Sentul and with Ananda Mikola's lead in the championship slashed from a 45 point lead to a 26 point lead, this means the championship win will go down to the final round at Batangas on the 6th November with only James and Tyson able to take the top honors. If James wins both race's Ananda needs to finish in fourth twice to take the championship!!

Asian Formula 3, Rounds 9 & 10 Sentul, Indonesia 17th & 18th September 2005
Race 1
he start of Qualifying did'nt go to plan as James and his team went the wrong way with the car's set up, James committed "The set up we tried in qualifying worked well yesterday on old tyre's but did'nt suit the new the rubber we used today, I guess that's where you lose out when you test on old rubber due to budget problems".
The Kinetic team sent James out again with a revised set-up trying to help the oversteer Jjames had on the new tyres, Then with only minutes to spare james bettered his time on the older rubber to jump to second on the grid and only one tenth off the pole.
James lined up on the front row for the seven consecutive time, as the lights turned green all the front runners made a good start and Tyson Sy lead away from pole with James stuck to his gearbox, John O'Hara third Christian Jones and Ananda Mikola fighting for fourth.Race one finished in this order with Sy winner narrowly from Winslow.
Race 2
At the start James made a great start to jump from second into first place at the first corner and managed to pull a gap on the first lap, but after two laps Tyson Sy started to catch James at an alarming rate visually faster on the two very long straights. With the battle for first place underway James was obviously not about to give up his first place without a fight, on lap five though Tyson managed to out drag James on one of the straights and there was nothing James could do.
Tyson won with James second again followed by Ananda Mikola who had clashed with John O'Hara, Dado pena and Rodolfo Avila rounding out the top six.
After the race James's thoughts were confirmed Tyson Sy's speed trap times where 6mph quicker than any other car and lap times were one whole second quicker than anyone else with the rest of the grid being separated by tenths and hundred's of a second!

Winslow still in with a shot of winning Asian F3 Championship
After scoring healthy points in Rounds 7 & 8 in Sentul, James has moved upto 2nd in the championship and halving the points gap to the leader, with a disappointing race 2 James still managed to keep his 2nd place in the championship and goes on to the following round of the championship knowing they have the pace to challenge for the lead in the championship.

Asian Formula 3, Rounds 7 & 8 Sentul, Indonesia 20th & 21st August 2005
Race 1
A problem with a faulty crank sensor meant James and the Kinectic team missed out on three days of valuable testing, as James is in his rookie year of AF3 he had never driven the circuit so was on the back foot for the race weekend. After another strong qualifying performance James sat on the front row on the grid for race 1 setting a time identical to the pole time.
James led from the off, setting an impressive pace to pull away from the chasing pack, with half distance complete James had a healthy lead but due to no testing and no race simulation the tyres were suffering and started to delaminate with the high track temperatures. With the tyres deteriorating James�s car started to slow in pace and eventually fell back to 2nd place, which is where he finished.
Race 2
James and team mate John O�hara dominated race 2. With John leading the opening laps. On lap 5 James closed the gap by setting a new lap record and was positioning himself to pass for the lead. Then unknown to the any of the drivers the heavens had opened at turn 2 flooding the track within seconds and catching out every driver in the race, as on the previous lap the circuit was bone dry.
The red flags followed to stop the race and with 75 per cent of the field aquaplaning off the circuit and damaging their cars only 6 cars took the restart. As James was leading the race he was the first car to aquaplane on the water so was unable to take the restart.

Silverstone classic 30/31st July 2005
Race 1
The Silverstone classic race meeting on the 30th and 31st of July is one of the biggest historic meetings in the world attracting some of the finest racing machinery from around the globe from 1950's le mans winning cars to the finest f1 one cars ever.
P.A motorsport joined force's with James for a one off race in an attempt to take the race honors at this very prestigious and high profile meeting in the Historic formula ford category.
Qualifying
Having not driven a ff1600 for over five years James was straight on the pace in Qualifying setting the fastest laps from the off, after the session James had set the pole time in his Peter Alexander run Macon MR8 managing to out qualify his nearest challenger by 0.7 seconds.
Race
James starting from pole position made a good start but as the drivers were racing on the Silverstone gp historic circuit a very high speed circuit James knew that the first few laps would be very hard to lead as the cars behind would be able to get a good slip stream on the long straights.
After three very exciting laps with the lead changing on every corner James managed to reclaim the lead and pull out a good gap, after 6 laps James had a commanding lead then as James exited Club corner the car suddenly slowed and pulled off the track to retire from a certain debut win.
After the race James confirmed that the Engine had expired costing the P.A motorsport team a win.
James added "The Historic ff1600 championship was an absolutely fantastic series and the cars are so much fun to drive this is what motorsport should be about its cost affective good close racing with cars that slide around making them fun to drive and watch, and the people are so friendly"
James would like to thank Peter Alexander and the P.A motorsport team for there hard work and efforts in producing such a well prepared and very quick car for him to drive.

Winslow wins in China
Race 1
After an unlucky previous round of AF3, James and Kinetic were determined to turn their good speed into good race results. Qualifying was held on a wet track, James well suited to the conditions setting the fastest time for most of the session and loosing the pole by 0.1 in the dying seconds of qualifying to Tyson Sy.
James made a good start and led into the first corner with Ananda Mikola close behind. These two drivers pulling clear of the rest at half distance James and Ananda were trading places with James finishing a strong second at the chequered flag.
Race 2
Race two was quoted as being the most exciting Asian Formula 3 race ever. James, Ananda, Tyson and John O’hara all had a four way battle for the lead until half distance when James took the lead and pulled clear to win his first Asian F3 race.

Championship
James finished Rounds 5 & 6 as the top points scorer lifting him to 3rd place in the championship and only 7 points from 2nd place making up for the two zero point scores at the previous round.

Fastest but no points
Race 1
After a good qualifying session James started 3rd on the grid, missing out on the pole by only 0.01 When the race started the leading trio all made good starts to enter turn one in grid formation. As the first unfolded it became apparent that James had a problem. After holding 2nd position for two laps the misfire became terminal and ended James’s race prematurely.
Race 2
Grid positions for race 2 are determined by the finishing order of race 1. James started at the back of the grid.
James and the Kinetic team were feeling very confident about the race after dominating the morning session by setting the fastest times by over a second. When the lights turned green James jumped from 22nd to 12th by the end of the first lap but then suddenly slowed on the pit straight creeping back to the pits at a slow speed the fault being a loose rear wheel nut. With a new rear wheel nut James left the pits a lap down on the leaders, James then fought his way back to 12th position and set a stunning new lap record in the process.

James finishes on Podium on AF3 Debut
James flew out to the Phillipines for the first round of the Asian formula 3 championship at Batangas, with only one day of testing James was always going to find it a tough race as he was racing against other drivers that had competed at the circuit and in Asian F3 for a full season already.
 
Race 1
James made a solid start working his way up the grid and finishing 5th after a race long battle for 4th.
 
Race 2
After starting 5th on the grid James made a great start to jump to 3rd position at the first corner the position he held to the chequered flag.

Asian F3 Test at Batangas
James travelled to the Philippines to test at the demanding Batangas race circuit for "Team Goddard", a top Asian formula 3 team. On his first visit to the track he impressed setting a time of 1m25.2 in a class B car. A lap time good enough for fifth overall at the last round of the Asian F3 Championship in December 2004.

Team Goddard's technical manager Roberto Bautista reported that he was extremely impressed with Winslow's performance and he was particularly happy with the feedback the driver gave. James drove the team's promotion class car a Dallara 398 Tom's.

Team owner Mark Goddard said that "James is definitely Championship winning material and we would love to run him in AF3 this year."

James reported "the Batangas track is an extremely demanding and technical circuit and the bumps certainly get attention." James said "I know I could have set a faster time so I am really hoping we can return for the whole championship.

James left fuming after being cheated out of Snetterton Win
Round 13 of the DACS ARP F3 Championship at Snetterton started well with James and Championship rival Richard Marsh lined up on the front row. However, the day was about to take a turn for the worse. As the lights turned green Marsh and the rest of the drivers shot away but James hadn't get away well at all, dropping back to fifth and sandwiched between two other cars, as the cars approached turn one things got a bit to close and James ended up involved in a first corner incident leaving himself and two others facing the wrong way. With James back in last place (20th) he set about chasing the pack down, after 8 laps James was amazingly back into 3rd place and battling for 2nd. With only 5 laps remaining James had taken 2nd place and was closing in on Marsh fast. With 3 laps remaining James had closed the gap to Richard Marsh and set a new F3 lap record in the process.

As the two drivers started lap 13, James drew along side Marsh to take the lead. Marsh then drove James off the track to keep him behind weaving across the track three times. As the two drivers entered turn 3 Marsh made a mistake and exited very wide with all four wheels off the track. With Richard Marsh desperate to stop James overtaking and becoming Champion he decided to ram James as he rejoined the track from his excursion.

James still managed to take advantage of Marsh's mistake and drew along side then edged into 1st place. When Marsh took a second and much harder swerve into James smashing James's car and damaging the side pod and badly damaging the rear suspension.

James managed to limp home in 2nd place. After a protest against Marsh the result became official as the observer had not seen the incident. Richard Marsh made up a defence story so as not to lose face and the Championship. James reported after the race "Marsh is a cheat, and would do anything to win, even lie and endanger lives to win an ARP Race."

James impresses with 2nd on his British F3 Debut
James made his debut appearance in the ultra competitive British Formula 3 Championship on 15/16th August at Silverstone. Driving for Reon Motorsport, James managed a well deserved 2nd place in challenging conditions. With Changeable weather conditions which had seen freak shower storms as the cars lined up on the grid, teams were torn between choosing wet or slick tyres. Most teams opted for wets with only two cars on the grid starting on slicks. Unfortunately though for those drivers on wets, the track soon dried out and drivers on wet tyres began to struggle. James persevered and brought his car home as the first of those running wet tyres. With no testing and a converted ARP F3 car the team were very happy with their results in a race where every car made it to the finish line.

James and Management are now working to secure a deal to compete in the remaining races of the British F3 Championship.
